I’m Back, and Gayer Than Ever With Haut Underwear
After a three-year hiatus, I’m thrilled to announce the relaunch of iammamnchic.com – a fresher, brighter and better version of the blog, gayer than ever!
My goal is to offer the best content on the things I love, from tips on where to take your next gay vacation, flawless party makeup tutorials, rocking fashion advice, and of course, covering my underwear and thong obsession!
As a special…
Nothing’s as splendid as New York City during the holiday season. Colorful lights, whimsical displays, and joyful vibes abound! It’s enough to lift one’s spirits…well, at least mine, even more so after recently attending the 3rd annual Travelin Bum holiday soiree at the Room Mate Grace Hotel!
NAUGHTY
First of all, ME…of course…in my merriest, tiniest “swimsuit!” Looking fabulous! Secondly, all those other sexy, sultry, and rather uninhibited boys in attendance! Yum! More, please!
NICE
Happy souls, open bar, festive holiday décor, and some outrageous performances by insanely talented Drag Queens! OMG! The girls went all out…jumps, splits, knee slides…on a wet stage no less! You go, gurls!- Santa would be pleased!
Hm…wouldn’t it be nice if I became a Chappy Ambassador and bring such a spirited affair to Dallas?

Unlike most people I know, I like celebrating my birthday. Mostly because growing up, my parents made sure it was a special occasion. I would always get a new outfit, a birthday dinner, and, more often than not, a party with all the bells and whistles.
And when it comes to partying, no one does it better than us Mexicans. So without further ado, let me tell you about the epic blowout to commemorate my 33rd birthday.
Festivities commenced on the night of my actual birthday, November 8th, with my favorite DJ, Nora en Pure playing at the Lizard Lounge in Deep Ellum. – It was like the stars aligned for the weekend affair.
Not only did I danced my heart out that night, but I also threw myself a party the following day – probably the best one yet. – If we don’t count my 21st birthday, where I had a step and repeat, a DJ, stage lighting, and I got a Peugeot car as a present. – no big deal!
Anyway, planning any “kiki” brings me so much excitement. I love seeing the final result. This year’s theme was “Pink Eleganza Extravaganza”, in honor of co-hosting the first-ever Daddy Issues party in DFW.
THE SET-UP
Think bubble gum princess meets the most magical rainbow. Using Party City supplies like a couple of these Bright Pink Fringe Doorway Curtain and five Below accessories, I created the gleaming backdrop for my photo booth. Of course, I had to have props. These Metallic Rainbow ones added that element of extra.
For the serving table, I used a Pink Paper Table Cover and Pink Unicorn Piñata from the 99 Cents Only Store. I personalized my Susie Cakes Vanilla Celebration Cake with the “Happy Birthday @manchic” phrase and a bunch of decorations like this Colorful Icons Birthday Candles Set and Star Sparkler. To take it over the top, I added some swirl lollipops and even a White Chocolate Covered Pretzel from Whole Foods.
I also had some colorful macarons courtesy of Joy Macarons, a DFW based bakery specializing in French Macarons and ice cream. If you’re ever in town, you have to try them.
For the lighting, I used these Bright Pink Paper Lanterns and just added some Battery Powered String Lights I found for a dollar. The nightclub effect was accomplished with this Magic Disco Ball Party Lights – totally obsessed with it. It’s operated with a micro USB port, and it’s super easy to install. To add more fanfare, I hung this Fringe Paper Garland that I found on Amazon.
THE LEWK
I was serving you head to toe Pink realness. From the beginning, I knew I had to get Slick It Up’s Candy Sling… It’s not for no reason I hired a personal trainer. Our goal was to lower my body fat, “she” was going to be snatched. The chaps came from some store in Santee Alley in Los Angeles… as soon as I saw them, I realized they will be the thing that will take my outfit to the next level. I topped it off with this LKEYE Transparent Sunglasses and this Party City Purple Glitter Silver Crown – because “she’s” a queen!!!
If that wasn’t enough, my best friend’s boyfriend, Cody Huffman, and my friend Jessica Chen helped me with the makeup. Using Hipdot Glitter Palette and Revolution Forever Flawless Utopia Eyeshadow Palette. The finishing touch was adding Michael’s Multicolored Round Neon Gems.
For my nails, I went for a geometric design using inspiration from a photo I found on Pinterest. I go to this place in Turtle Creek Village called Grand Nail Salon. Not only is the manager Patrick super nice, but also the girls that work there know what they’re doing. My girl is Tiffany. She always comes through with any design I throw at her.
THE KIKI
I’m so proud of all my friends. Everyone showed up on their best version of Pink Eleganza Extravaganza. To kick off the soiree, we sipped on some cocktails and nibbed on some yummy food at my place… Before heading to The Urban Cowboy Saloon in Fort Worth for the first edition of Daddy Issues Party DFW.
My baby boy got us a party bus because ain’t nobody got time to be driving to Fort Worth – that place is far. That’s when the real kiki started. The guys from BABE wine sent me some party essentials – from fanny packs, plastic cups, visors, etc. Not to mention the bubbles. Cheers bitches!
I’ve never been on a party bus before, so I was looking forward to the experience. The most fantastic thing, it came with a dance pole… As you can imagine, I got on it. Watch out Cardi B! LOL
I don’t want to sound condescending, but once at the club, everyone was “living’ for my outfit – just check out the pictures from that night. Anyhow, the music was so GOOD, house beats. I wish more gays would appreciate it. That didn’t stop my friends and me to lit up the dance floor. Werk!!! I can’t wait for the next edition. Oly, you must bring it to Dallas next time.
I’m still over the moon from the festivities. I had such a blast being my crazy self and celebrating with my closest Dallas friends. Thank you to my baby boy Travis Matthews for putting up with all my shenanigans, to my bestie Jose Espinoza for rolling up his sleeves and helping me finish setting up and everyone else that came and partied with me. Love you, mean it!

A Manchic Guide To Summer Hats
A Manchic Guide To Summer Hats #menhats #menstyle #mensfashion
As soon as summer hits, I’m the first to wear as little as possible. Honestly, if up to me, I’d sport skimpy swimwear and sneakers all day. In spite of how enticing that might sound to some of you little pervs, I respect those who might not appreciate seeing my junk through my speedo at the local grocery checkout or popular eatery. Besides, as a fashion connoisseur, I do enjoy wearing different…

Celebrating #Stonewall50: A look back at @NYCPride 2019 #gaypride #gaytravel #worldpride2019
Over the weekend, NYC Pride welcomed WorldPride, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. It was the first time the global LGBTQ celebration was held in the U.S. and will go down as the largest one in history.
Event organizers and city officials said 150,000 parade marchers and over 4 million visitors descended upon the city to celebrate with endless parties, panels,…

#Pride Merch Honoring #Stonewall50 By Giving Back To The LGBTQ Community #nycpride
Fifty years ago today, the trailblazers and heroes at the Stonewall Inn fought back against brutality and oppression. Their courage that night sparked a revolt and built the LGBTQ+ movement that gave us the ability to celebrate Pride. Thus, it comes as no surprise that more companies than ever are looking to commemorate the Stonewall riots with pride capsule collections.
But just because you see…
11 Alternative WorldPride 2019 “Experiences” You Simply Cannot Miss
This week is the culmination of Pride Month. Just in time for the 50 anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots, where the modern gay rights movement was born. Your 2019 Dallas Pride guide: Where to celebrate all weekend
Your 2019 Dallas Pride guide: Where to celebrate all weekend
I hope that you guys are ready to celebrate Dallas Pride because unlike oft, this year – and moving forward, festivities are going to be held in June in alignment with Pride month. The new dates also come with new locations. Forget about Cedar Springs and Oak Lawn, the annual pride parade is moving to Fair Park. Will I miss the conglomerate of gays/queens/randoms on The Strip?Absolutely!…
Strolling down Arenas Rd, one will notice gay and lesbian friends and couples enjoying a vast array of bars and LGBTQ shops. Though a popular gay destination today, when Jeffrey Sanker first started the White Party, Palm Springs wasn’t all that openly gay. If anything, Palm Springs was a hideaway for closeted Hollywood.
Craig Prater, former director of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, credits Sanker and the White Party for changing this and transforming Palm Springs to nationally recognized gay-friendly destination. The annual White Party has been known to generate upwards of a million dollars in tax revenue. Filling hotels and restaurants with scores of visitors in town for the event.
This year, White Party Palm Springs turned 30! Party revelers from all over the globe descended on the Hilton Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Convention Center for 72 hours of dance, camaraderie and spectacular mountain views! Seven parties in all!

Upon arrival to the host hotel, dedicated circuit fans were already sipping cocktails, soaking rays and moving to the rhythms of DJ Blacklow. Let’s just say; I wasn’t surprised! Friday night’s Military Ball officially kicked off the weekend with music by DJs Oscar Velasquez and GSP! Men in sexy military garb also enjoyed an electrifying live performance by Nikki Valentine and Amanda! Where else could I rock Nasty Pig’s camo shorts & Hook’d Up sports socks in orange? Without a doubt, we all had a ball.
Saturday morning, after a hearty breakfast at Sherman’s Deli & Bakery, attendees at the Muscle Pool Party had the chance to witness a first-ever White Party wedding! Two handsome Italians- that met at last year’s White Party tied the knot in front of friends, and strangers. In a rather interesting ceremony officiated by former Queer Eye, Jai Rodriguez. Vows shared in broken English and a passionate groom-on-groom kiss made for a sexy, sweet moment!
Saturday night’s “House of Gods” was the main event. Partygoers, dressed in white tunics, gold underwear, chains, and laurel wreaths, filled the Palm Springs Convention Center with dancing and shenanigans to the early dawn! Pulsing beats were courtesy of DJs Aron, Nina Flowers, and Dan Slater! Music powerhouse, Beth Anne Sacks also provided a spectacular performance!

On Sunday afternoon, after hitting one of many private pool parties in town, I sashayed back to Downtown Palm Springs for the renowned White Party T-Dance! My excitement grew as I approached the grounds and saw the emblematic White Party Ferris wheel. Hundreds of gay men, clad in their most chic ensembles, danced to the awesome sounds of DJ Ben Bakson and DJ Suri!
Later that night…” RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni extraordinaire, Shangela, took to the stage and delivered a “sickening” performance that, yes, made me gag a few times! Not to mention, Canadian diva Deborah Cox, in a stunning Michael Costello dress, followed and belted memorable hits, including “Nobody’s Supposed to be Here,” “Absolutely Not” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody!” – The crowd went wild. Soon after, spectacular fireworks lit the desert sky, bringing the party to an epic close!

Some say that there is power and strength in longevity. If this is the case, Jeffrey Sanker’s White Party Palm Springs is 30 years strong and commands the power to unify our diverse LGBTQ community through friendship, love, music, and dance! Here’s to many more years!
Here are some of the best moments from this year’s White Party in Palm Springs.
